I would like to post some of the more provocative photos but wouldn’t want to get anyone in trouble. But you don’t have to get painted to enjoy the fun.

Does he look tired? It was so hot there & the humidity was terrible. Don’t remember when I was that miserable from the heat.

Long Key, Florida

John Pennekamp State Park

Cannon Beach. Before going to Long Key we stayed a few days in John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo, Florida. We went on the glass bottom boat & saw some interesting fish. When we left Molasses Reef we saw a huge turtle about 3 1/2 to 4 feet long. While riding our bikes we came upon an iguana. He stopped to pose for us.

Sebastion Inlet

Peaceful. We sat by the water & watched the dolphins. There were so many of them frolicking in the water.

The water was so rough at the beach. A storm must have been coming in.

Walking along the inlet. Great place to fish. We saw people catching snooks. One right after another.

The Summer of 2009

This was a slow summer. We didn't travel this summer but we did go away a few times. A visit with a Jr. High School friend. I found her on facebook. What a great way to find old friends & aquaintences.

We went to several beaches in September.

Venice Beach

I was looking for shark's teeth. I didn't find any this time. But the last time we visited this beach I found a lot of them.

Siesta Beach

Siesta beach is only a half mile long. The sand is so white & feels like baby powder. The sand is fine mineral quartz. It comes down from a river from the Appalachian mountains. The sand is cool to the touch even on the hottest day.

It was extremely hot. 94 degrees & it was the end of September. The water was so warm that you could just walk right in and enjoy it.
