Summer 2011

John & I decided not to drive our RV up to Jersey this year & we took a long cut up to Jersey. We decided to take the scenic tour along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I am so glad we drove the parkway, it was a very relaxing trip & the scenery was beautiful.

I got up here just in time for my girlfriends son's graduation. Frankie graduated from Stockton College. It is near AC. I got to see some good friends from yesteryear. Always good to catch up.

Then we headed up to NY to visit with a very good friend of John's, Chuckie.  It is always good to see friends. But now it was time for me to meet up with the gang. I just can't come up to Jersey without getting to see them. I have to thank Bob for having everyone over at his house.

Of course I can't go anywhere without a line dance or two. I met up with the Jersey Girls & went to a workshop with Joey Warren.

Now it is time to head back up to NY & visit with my mother in laws side of the family.

We traveled up to Jersey this summer to be there for the birth of our new granddaughter. She was born July 20th at 11:30 AM. She is beautiful.
Congrats to the new parents, Jay & Daria.

Since we came up to Jersey we decided to visit with John's family in NY.

We are enjoying visiting with everyone.
Last night we went to a concert at Ft Montgomery in NY. The band playing was In The Pocket Band featuring Tommy Nicks on guitar and Joey Costanza on drums.  Joey & Tommy are John's old friends from his Stony Point days.

Tommy is John's school buddy. Also on the drums was Joey Costanza, another friend of John's.

You can find them at http://inthepocketband.net/and they play some good rock & roll

We have been visiting with John's cousins & friends.  So far the summer is off to a good start. New granddaughter, visiting with friends & family and dancing, so far so good.
